VibranceGUI Valorant Setup and Color Profile Guide

A VibranceGUI Valorant profile lets you choose a game-specific color intensity while keeping a separate desktop baseline on supported setups. The aim is to apply your preferred colors during play and return to your recorded desktop appearance when you switch away.

This guide explains how to select the correct game entry, save its profile, and check switching when you launch Valorant, press Alt+Tab, or exit. Compatibility depends on your graphics hardware, available driver controls, and display configuration.

Quick Setup Overview for Valorant

Use this checklist before creating your profile. The sections below explain each stage and how to check the result.

StageWhat to check
Graphics setupThe relevant native color control, such as NVIDIA Digital Vibrance or AMD Saturation, is available for your display.
Desktop baselineRecord your existing color value so you can restore your previous appearance.
Game entrySelect the actual running Valorant game, rather than only the Riot Client launcher.
Saved profileConfirm that your intended game color value is saved for the correct entry.
SwitchingCheck game focus, Alt+Tab, and game exit separately. Observe whether the expected color setting applies at each stage.
Display settingsKeep resolution and refresh rate unchanged during the initial color test. Leave optional resolution switching out of this setup.

Check Your Setup Before Adding the Game

Identify your graphics card, driver version, target monitor, and VibranceGUI build before creating a profile. Check whether NVIDIA Digital Vibrance or AMD Saturation is available for the display you want to adjust. Your Windows version alone does not establish compatibility.

Laptop support needs extra care. The original repository lists NVIDIA laptop GPUs as unsupported, while the developer’s historical guide suggests checking whether Digital Vibrance is available in the driver. An available control does not guarantee that the app will work. The original project also lists Intel graphics as unsupported.

For laptop or hybrid graphics checks, use our VibranceGUI laptop compatibility guide.

If your download is an archive, extract it before opening the program. Our VibranceGUI guide covers the package and initial setup.

How to Add Valorant to VibranceGUI

Select the Running Game

Launch Valorant and wait until the game has opened. Then switch to VibranceGUI.

In the developer’s documented interface, select Add to open the running-process list. Find the actual Valorant game process and double-click its entry. Avoid selecting only the Riot Client, which launches the game but is a separate program.

The documented button names may differ in another build. If the game does not appear, use the manual-selection route below.

Add the Executable Manually

Select Add manually and browse to your Valorant installation folder. Locate the game executable named VALORANT-Win64-Shipping.exe, which Riot identifies in its game-file documentation.

Its folder location follows this pattern within the game installation:

Valorant install folder ShooterGame Binaries Win64 with VALORANT-Win64-Shipping.exe selected
VALORANT\live\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\

Verify the drive and folders on your own computer. Your installation may be somewhere other than the default location.

Select the executable and choose Accept in the documented interface. Adding the file creates an entry, but you still need to check whether VibranceGUI detects and applies that profile during play.

Save and Confirm the Entry

Choose your intended game color value and select Save. Check that the saved entry refers to the Valorant game executable you selected.

If you already have a launcher entry, make sure you are editing the game’s profile. A saved entry confirms that the configuration exists. The next checks establish whether its colors apply when Valorant is in focus and whether your desktop appearance returns afterward.

Choose Your Valorant and Desktop Color Levels

Start by recording your existing desktop color value. Use this as your baseline, then make a small adjustment to the Valorant profile. Compare the result in a familiar game scene while keeping other display settings unchanged.

There is no single best percentage for every Valorant player. NVIDIA Digital Vibrance and AMD Saturation use different scales, so matching numbers should not be treated as equivalent adjustments. Maximum saturation is not a useful starting point.

SettingDecision to makeCheck
Desktop baselineWhich value preserves your normal desktop appearance?Compare a browser page and a familiar photograph.
Game adjustmentHow much color intensity suits your preference?Use the same scene and check whether nearby shades remain distinguishable.
Other color toolsWhich application will manage the adjustment?Pause other color automation during testing so competing changes do not confuse the result.
Optional resolution changesDo you need them for this color setup?Keep resolution and refresh rate unchanged during the initial test.

If colors look exaggerated or distracting, reduce the game adjustment and compare again. Our Digital Vibrance guide explains how color intensity differs from brightness, contrast, and other controls.

Test Game Focus, Alt+Tab and Exit

Check switching in a practice environment or non-competitive session where changing focus will not interrupt a match. Keep your recorded desktop value nearby and observe each transition separately.

Alt+Tab between Valorant and the desktop to check that the game level and desktop level switch correctly
TestWhat to observeWhat to record if it fails
Bring Valorant into focusYour intended game appearance applies. The saved program entry and selected display.
Alt+Tab to the desktopYour recorded desktop appearance returns. What actually happens and the game’s display mode.
Return to ValorantThe game adjustment applies again.Whether it works consistently across repeated switches.
Close ValorantThe desktop baseline returns and remains in place.Any persistent color change after the game closes.

One successful launch does not verify every transition. A profile may apply when you first open the game but behave differently after Alt+Tab or exit. If a step fails, record it before changing settings so you can repeat the same check afterward.

If the Valorant Profile Does Not Apply

Start with the symptom you can observe. Avoid repeatedly increasing saturation when the real issue may be the selected program, display, or switching behavior.

SymptomFirst check
Valorant is missing from the selection listUse the manual executable-selection route described above.
The launcher has a profile, but the game does not changeConfirm that the saved entry points to the actual Valorant game executable.
Manual desktop adjustment works, but the game profile does notCheck the saved profile and what happens when Valorant becomes the foreground application.
Neither manual nor automated adjustment worksCheck the relevant native color control and selected display first.
Desktop colors remain changedCompare with your recorded baseline and identify whether the failure happens after Alt+Tab, game exit, or both.
The problem begins after an updateRecord the app, graphics driver, and game versions, along with when you first noticed the issue.

Note whether the problem affects only Valorant or other saved programs too. This helps separate a game-entry issue from a broader color-control problem.

For further checks, follow the matching symptom in our VibranceGUI not-working guide, using your recorded results rather than repeating unrelated fixes.

Keep Resolution and Refresh Rate Separate from Color

Changing color intensity does not require changing resolution or refresh rate. Record your existing desktop resolution and refresh rate before testing, and keep optional display-mode changes out of the initial color setup.

The original project’s GitHub issues include a Valorant report about DispChangeBadFlags during resolution changes and another about refresh rate dropping after Alt+Tab. These are user-reported examples, not confirmed causes of every display problem.

ObservationWhat to inspect
Resolution changes during switchingCheck whether your build has optional resolution-changing settings enabled.
Refresh rate differs after Alt+TabCompare your recorded rate with the current value. Note the game’s display mode and whether VibranceGUI is running.
DispChangeBadFlags appearsRecord the exact message and any resolution-changing configuration active when it appears.

Available controls can differ between builds. Check your actual interface before changing an option. Avoid forcing unsupported refresh rates or introducing a different resolution just to make colors look stronger.

What About Vanguard and Game Rules?

An app working with Valorant does not establish permission under Riot’s rules. The Riot policy reviewed for this guide did not establish VibranceGUI-specific approval. That absence alone also does not mean the program is declared banned.

Historical claims about VAC concern a different anti-cheat system and should not be treated as Vanguard permission. Reddit experiences and YouTube demonstrations are not official Riot statements.

Check the applicable game and service guidance before use, including event rules if you play in a tournament. Our Is VibranceGUI safe? guide separates policy evidence from download-source and file-security checks.

When a Native Color Control May Be Enough

If one color setting suits both your desktop and Valorant, an available native control may meet your needs. AMD also documents per-game Custom Color, so native options are not always limited to global adjustments. Check the behavior supported by your hardware and software.

NeedRoute to consider
Same appearance for desktop and gameAn available native display-color control.
Different game and desktop preferencesA supported per-game profile or automation option, with switching behavior checked.
Unsupported automation setupNative controls available for your graphics hardware or display.

Our VibranceGUI alternatives guide compares these routes and their main limitations.

Conclusion

A VibranceGUI Valorant profile starts with the correct game entry and saved color preferences. Record your desktop baseline, make a small game adjustment, and check game focus, Alt+Tab, and exit separately. These observations help you judge whether the profile behaves as intended on your setup.

If switching fails, use the matching troubleshooting checks and record what happens. If your hardware does not support the required automation, consider available native controls. Keep your original values so you can restore your previous appearance.
